Hello,

/etc/network/interfaces as supplied with
http://download.openvz.org/template/precreated/debian-4.0-x8 6.tar.gz is broken and preventing the network from beeing started:

auto lo
iface lo inet loopback
        address 127.0.0.1
        netmask 255.0.0.0
        broadcast 127.255.255.255
up ip route replace 127.0.0.0/8 dev lo

auto lo #ERROR: Duplicated auto lo
iface lo inet loopback #ERROR:lo interfaces redefined.

It can be sorted out by removing interfaces.template's content.

Do you mind fixing the image?

Thanks,
Keep smiling
yanosz

Hello,

if should be "iface venet0 inet loopback".
Would you mind writing to Kir Kolyshkin (kir@openvz.org) and asking him to correct template on download.openvz.org?

This is a subject of bug #1000 (http://bugzilla.openvz.org/1000). It is now fixed, download the latest precreated templates from download.openvz.org
