Hello , i install OpenVZ with this Kernel : 2.6.18-92.1.13.el5.028stab059.6PAE

i created a VPS by this command :

now i want add an ipaddress to my VPS by this Command :

vzctl set 222 --ipadd 74.222.13.149 --save

BUT i have a problem . i see an error after i entered this command:

[root@localhost /]# vzctl set 222 --ipadd 74.222.13.149 --save
Adding IP address(es): 74.222.13.149
arpsend: 74.222.13.149 is detected on another computer : 00:d0:02:c0:58:00
vps-net_add WARNING: arpsend -c 1 -w 1 -D -e 74.222.13.149 eth0 FAILED
Saved parameters for CT 222

Obviously enough, that specific ip address is already in use by the network interface with the "00:d0:02:c0:58:00" MAC address.

Most probably the ip address of the network interface of your HN.

Check that the ip address you have configured for the VPS is not already in use.

Hi.

This means another computer with MAC 00:d0:02:c0:58:00 has the same IP (74.222.13.149) configured.

EDITED: n00b_admin, you're surely right and my message is a dup of yours. i just have not seen your reply cause this request in "reported queue". Sorry for that.
