I'm running OpenVZ (ovzkernel-2.6.18-92.1.1.el5.028stab057.2.6.x86_64) on Centos 5.2 (2.6.18-92.1.1.el5.028stab057.2.6 #1 SMP Fri Oct 3 20:58:50 GMT 2008). The primary interface is bond0.10, plus I have an interface on another network vlan bond0.60. I'm not sure how to get a vlan 60 interface in my VE. I tried creating bond0.60:1, giving it an ip, making sure that it had connectivity, then doing:

vzctl set 50 --netif_add bond0.60:1 --save

But this didn't work at all. When I type 'ifconfig -a' I just get the error:

# ifconfig -a
bond0.60:1: error fetching interface information: Device not found

After I did the netif_add, my /etc/sysconfig/vz-scripts/50.conf file contained the line:

NETIF="ifname=bond0.60:0,mac=00:18:51:FB:A9:11,host_ifname=veth50.0,host_mac=00:18:51:C6:9B:03"

I tried performing these steps various ways, including while the VE was in a stopped state, to no avail.

Could someone give me some pointers on how to do this properly?

Thanks!
