Is it possible to use iptables inside VE?
Specifically i need to use source nat masquarade iptables rules
inside a couple of gateway VEs.

yes it is, you can also load netfilter kernel modules if you add something like this in your VEID.conf:

IPTABLES="iptable_nat iptable_filter"

Thanks , it works from VE.
BTW before I've tried to use similar rule for source nat masquerade inside HN on the gateway VE veth${VEID} device, but it did not work. Any ideas why?
