Hello,

After many trial and error, I have managed to successfully create a vps, start it, without any error.

I used putty to connect to my new vps and i was able to login fine. On the new vps, i tried to setup a web server to see if it works etc... and i noticed that it could not download *any* package.

So, i thought there was something wrong with the internet on the vps, so i tried the following on my vps:

[root@server etc]# ping google.com
ping: unknown host google.com

On my host machine, this works fine. So, what could be the problem? On my host machine, i have iptable firewall running, so could it be that?

never mind, i fixed it by setting the vps's nameserver to the host server's ip Smile
