Hi,
I'm using only veth* devices so,
in order to get rid of venet* interfaces for good both in VE0 and VEs i avoided vznetdev module from loading. Now the venet* devices are not created, as i want. The VEs themselfs are starting and working ok. But /proc/vz/veinfo is absent both on VE0 and VEs
and vzctl does not report VE states correctly, in spite of that it starts and stops ve correctly.
For example both kdc1 and vzimg-dmz VEs are running ok but
vzctl reports them as mounted and complains about /proc/vz/veinfo absence
ovz1 ~ # vzlist -an
Unable to open /proc/vz/veinfo
      VEID NPROC STATUS IP_ADDR NAME
       101 - mounted - kdc1
      1000 - mounted - vzimg-dmz
ovz1 ~ #

So why unloading vznetdev also removes unrelated /proc/vz/veinfo proc entry?

Using openvz-028stab053-r14 on gentoo

Thanks
Alex
