Hi,
My bosses have been bitten by the Virtual Server bug. Most of our Windows Servers has been converted to virtual servers which are running well.
I have now been given the task of moving all our Linux-Unix servers to Open-vz or Xen. From what I have been reading Open-vz is the better VM to go for so here I am asking some questions for what I need to know about.
I have created a couple of Open-vz virtual machines and can ping the whole world. As a test to ensure I can create and manage the machines.
These servers are going to be replacing machines which currently have two network cards installed, one network card is for the internal network and another card is for the external network.
These machines will be replacing DNS Servers Mail Gateways and Proxy Servers
What would be the best way of configuring the network side of Open-vz to carry out these operations?
Have one network card for external network and the other card for the internal network?
Or is it best to have the network card configured some other way.
Could someone point me in the right direction please?
Thanks
Kiwiuk
