It's a shame ArchLinux doesn't already have support, but with developer help I can maintain some packages long-term.

ArchLinux needs to have some adapted scripts etc. for correct functioning by default, since it does not use SYSV-style init. Instead it uses BSD-style everything, therefore I may need some help adding in a patch to the standard scripts.

Also a good list of solid runtime and compile-time dependencies will be helpful.

Any help you can offer will be much appreciated.
