After I upgraded my CentOS 5.1 system to 2.6.18-53.1.19.el5 028stab053.14, when reboot

request module: runaway loop modprobe binfmt-464c
request module: runaway loop modprobe binfmt-464c
request module: runaway loop modprobe binfmt-464c
request module: runaway loop modprobe binfmt-464c

System hangs at this point

Anyone have any ideas what I need to look for?

That message means that the kernel bumped into the wrong bin format.
So, I guess we should find out what could it be.
Could you please describe in more detail your configuration.
What's your HN architecture, what kernel do you install, what kind of initrd do you use? If it's possible show us the output of menu.lst.

Do you have any assumptions what file cause the problem?

Hi,

you didn't answer the questions in my first message.
Where have you got this message "2.6.18-53.1.19.el5 028stab053.14"? Could you please show the config file if it was compiled by yourself?

I didn't compile the kernel by myself, I just use the compiled binary from yum. Smile
