Hi All,

I've got my all my VPS working under one subnet (192.168.1.0). All is working fine there. But, now I would like to create a few VPS's to be on different subnet (192.168.2.0).

I already attempted to create this and it seems that things are working - at least partially. Here's what I am able to do:

- I can ping all vpses from and to any subnet.
- From my HN, I can ping all vpses..
- From all vpses in all subnets I can ping all the way to my ISP gateway.

But, I can't seem to do a apt-get update on my new VPS that is on different subnet (192.168.2.0). When I try to ping yahoo.com it does not resolve. The other vpses from the 192.168.1.0 can!

I would appreciate any comments/suggestions to help me fix problem!

Joe

You need to add the route 192.168.2.0/24 to your routes table on the main hardware node, restart the VE and it should then work.

eg: ip route add 192.168.2.0/24 dev eth0
