Install yum for centos-5-x86_64-minimal template [message #25671]

I'm trying to use this template (centos-5-x86_64-minimal), the VE works, but yum is not included. As I also didn't manage to put vzyum working in the hardware node (also Centos 5), I need to have yum in the VE, can you give any advice on how to do it?

Here's some steps I use for getting yum install on the Centos 5 template.

1. wget http://centos.mirror.nac.net/5.0/os/i386/CentOS/python-eleme nttree-1.2.6-5.i386.rpm
2. rpm -Uvh python-elementtree-1.2.6-5.i386.rpm
3. wget http://centos.mirror.nac.net/5.0/os/i386/CentOS/python-sqlit e-1.1.7-1.2.1.i386.rpm
4. rpm -Uvh python-sqlite-1.1.7-1.2.1.i386.rpm
5. wget http://centos.mirror.nac.net/5.0/os/i386/CentOS/rpm-python-4 .4.2-37.el5.i386.rpm
6. rpm -Uvh rpm-python-4.4.2-37.el5.i386.rpm
7. wget http://centos.mirror.nac.net/5.0/os/i386/CentOS/m2crypto-0.1 6-6.el5.1.i386.rpm
8. rpm -Uvh m2crypto-0.16-6.el5.1.i386.rpm
9. wget http://centos.mirror.nac.net/5.0/os/i386/CentOS/python-urlgr abber-3.1.0-2.noarch.rpm
10. rpm -Uvh python-urlgrabber-3.1.0-2.noarch.rpm
11. wget http://centos.mirror.nac.net/5.0/os/i386/CentOS/yum-3.0.5-1. el5.centos.2.noarch.rpm
12. rpm -Uvh yum-3.0.5-1.el5.centos.2.noarch.rpm

Hi Dave,

I was wondering if you could give me a little help.

I was following your instructions as you wrote them down- thank you.

However when I get to rpm-python-4.4.2-37.el5.i386.rpm I get the following error

error: Failed dependencies:
rpm = 4.4.2-47.el5 is needed by rpm-python-4.4.2-47.el5.i386

Since I am a newbie I was hoping that you and or someone can tell me what i am missing.
