Anyone having time issues if your running an AMD processor?

Mine is speeding up on the only opteron we have.

Founda few notes over it.

Wondering if this can be something fixed in the kernel?

I'm using the stable kernel at this time.

2.6.8-022stab076.1-smp

Think i figured it out, had to do with the irqbalance running.

Stopped that and everything seems ok.

if irqbalance didn't help, try kernel boot option 'clock=pmtmr'
