On a working openvz (test) server (when trying to install postgresql on xampp on HN /opt), I got a kernel panic which reads:

/sbin/init: relocation on /lib/tls/i686/libc.so.6
_dl_out_of_memory
version GLIBC_PRIVATE- not detected ld-linux.so.2 with ....
Kernel Panic- not sycing

The machine is not running in single mode too! Sad Any hint how to mend it?

Thanks!

To solve, what I did was:

#mv /lib/tls /lib/tls-notworking
#reboot

The kernel-panic disappeared!

Then I just removed the directory after the normal reboot:

#rm -rf /lib/tls-notworking

Hope this could be helpful for someone having similar problem.
