Let me describe the problem in detail before that i will share my configuration

Processor Intel Core 2 Duo 2.6 Ghz
Mother Board: Intel DG33FB
HardDisk : 160GB SATA
RAM: 6GB (2GB x 3)
OS: Centos 5.1 Server Install
Kernel Version: kernel-PAE-2.6.24-ovz002.2.i686.rpm
Kernel args: acpi=off

When i boot with above kernel, Starting Udev take a long time. It takes more than 30 minutes.

Message i c in the console is

Starting udev: Wait timeout. Will continue in the backgroup [FAILED]

when i run the same machine with less than 4GB of ram i dont have any problem, all VE's work fine.

Reading about openvz kernel for debian, i installed etch and installed the kernel .... but it also takes a long time .....

Message i c in the console is

Waiting for /dev/ to be fully populated ......

That means i have problem when physical ram is more than 4GB.

Some more stats of 2.6.24-ovz002.2-PAE kernel with 6GB RAM....

Let me describe the problem in detail before that i will share my configuration

Processor Intel Core 2 Duo 2.6 Ghz
Mother Board: Intel DG33FB
HardDisk : 160GB SATA
RAM: 6GB (2GB x 3)
OS: Centos 5.1 Server Install
Kernel Version: kernel-PAE-2.6.24-ovz002.2.i686.rpm
Kernel args: acpi=off

When i boot with above kernel, Starting Udev take a long time. It takes more than 30 minutes.

Message i c in the console is

Starting udev: Wait timeout. Will continue in the backgroup [FAILED]

when i run the same machine with less than 4GB of ram i dont have any problem, all VE's work fine.

Reading about openvz kernel for debian, i installed etch and installed the kernel .... but it also takes a long time .....

Message i c in the console is

Waiting for /dev/ to be fully populated ......

That means i have problem when physical ram is more than 4GB. Any one listening ??

I believe your mother board does not support more than 4 GB of RAM. You need to check the specifications of the motherboard. I had this problem before and the motherboard does not support certain size of RAM. Just check on the Internet. May be that is the problem

Please post /proc/mtrr output from 6G kernel.
Also, why have you turned off ACPI?
