Trying to install a g729a codec license for Asterisk in a VE. In order for the license program to work the license program wants to read the eth0 device. I think it's looking for the MAC address. So I'm thinking if there's a way to make etho device visible to the VE then the license will install.

So - can I do this? If so - how?

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Do you use venet?
You can simply add eth0 inside VE (I think you shouldn't configure it just use eth0 MAC inside VE). I hope it will might help you.

I figured it out and got it working. Thanks. I also created a wiki page about it.

Others might want to add to it and do some editing.
