Hi,

Are the OS Templates compatible with commercial VZ, or just OpenVZ?

No, OpenVZ OS templates are not compatible with Virtuozzo OS templates. As you can see, even template tools are different.

Although we have plans to provide migration path from OpenVZ to Virtuozzo when VZ 2.7 will come out.

I will make it more concrete: commercial VZ will support both OVZ templates and it's own teamplates which will provide higher density, i.e. OVZ users will be able to migrate to VZ without much pain.

Yeah, I noticed this immediately. The OVZ templates depend on vzpkg, in VZ 2.6 there is no vzpkg so I just assumed OVZ was the testing ground for these new tools/methods.
