vzpkgcache issue [message #2791]

I tried on 2 of my servers and got this issue

vzpkgcache
Creating cache for centos-4-i386-minimal OS template
ERROR: Can't start VPS 100001
Creating cache for centos-4-i386-default OS template
ERROR: Can't start VPS 100001
ps axuw|grep vz
root 2947 0.0 0.0 0 0 ? S Apr14 0:00 [vzmond]
root 4598 0.0 0.0 1616 696 ? Ss 20:46 0:00 /usr/sbin/vzctl --quiet --skiplock destroy 100001
root 4822 0.0 0.0 3652 672 pts/0 S+ 20:46 0:00 grep vz

One one of them i just killed off that destroy process and it then went fine

2 out of 3 had that issue, 1 of them still won't do the vzpkgcache and its not something I can just reboot Smile

All 3 got vzctl and vzquota upgraded today as well, not sure if its just common bad luck on one or what. Any Ides would be helpfull

Even tried -f, also no config is in etc/sysconfig/vz-scripts either for that i can find anything in /vz/private /vz/root /vz/tmp

well now it seems to work lol

I tried with vzpkgcache -f centos-4 and gave me the above error

then just did vzpkgcache alone and it was fine

Not sure if this will be able to be duplicated by devels

ok all 3 boxes vzpkgcache alone seems to work

but trying to do -f centos-4 doesn't gives that can't start VPS 100001

The problem was caused by the incorrect VPS samples (samples from x86_64 arch was included into i386 vzctl). This is fixed in vzctl-3.0.0-8. Update vzctl and the problem should be fixed. Sorry for the inconvenience.
