*SOLVED* Numflock UBC error - Pls help! [message #27725]

Hi All,

I am running this VPS and getting this failcnt on numflock resource. How should I be able to fix this error. Still working my way to understanding managing UBC resources... How and what should I increment this? also I do a vzcfgvalidate on that vps and it reports sucess (not sure why since I am getting this failcnt).

Hi Joe,

can you explain what kind of software is running inside this container, for increasing the number of lock file (numflock) use :
# vzctl set <VEID> --numflock <barrier>:<limit> [--save]

Curx, thanks for your reply... I am running a Mail server name Zimbra - Which uses postfix....

I have checked my logs on this server and noticed I am getting a lot of this:

Feb 25 10:16:06 mx1 amavis[18426]: Net::Server: Accept failed with 27 tries left: Invalid argument
Feb 25 10:16:07 mx1 amavis[18426]: Net::Server: Accept failed with 26 tries left: Invalid argument

which uses amavis Wink

It's a amavis prob, please check your amavis(d) conf file (-> /opt/zimbra/conf/amavisd.conf ),
have you setup a $inet_socket_port or a $unix_socketname,
but it's not a OpenVZ problem, so please try a amavisd or the zimbra forum for better help about configure amavis.

Curx, thanks for the info... I didn't think its a openvz specific problem. But, the problem is that openvz UBC reports failcnt and when I try to use vzcfgvalidate it reports success. I've just posted a separate thread about the use of the vzcfgvalidate tool. For me, its use has never worked? But, I did double the Numflock UBC resource and it looks a bit stable now. I am monitoring to see if it stays quite. Thanks for your help though!!!
