Hi, I want to mount /dev/sda4 in a VE.

Quote:

root@serv [/]# rm /dev/sda4
rm: remove block special file `/dev/sda4'? y
root@serv [/]# exit
logout
exited from VE 9892526
[root@sua ~]# vzctl set 9892526 --devnodes sda4:rw --save
Setting devices
Saved parameters for VE 9892526
[root@sua ~]# vzctl enter 9892526
entered into VE 9892526
mesg: error: tty device is not owned by group `tty'
root@serv [/]# cat /dev/sda4
cat: /dev/sda4: Permission denied
root@serv [/]# ls -al /dev/sda4
brw-r----- 1 root root 8, 4 Feb 4 10:22 /dev/sda4
root@serv [/]# exit
logout
exited from VE 9892526
[root@sua ~]# mount | grep sda4
[root@sua ~]# fdisk -l | grep sda4
/dev/sda4 294 19452 153894667+ 83 Linux
[root@sua ~]#

I don't want to use bindmounts because it would not be visible in /proc/mounts.

any ideas?

Thanks!
Rick

What's in the /proc/vz/devperms file after you grant access to /dev/sda4 to ve?

And what's the kernel version?
