Hi,

I am having trouble migrating to vlans. At present i am migrating my network from its old structure with no vlans and just using venet for openvz over to using vlans. As i give the openvz host a vlan i also give it a new ip and a new gateway. During the migration period i need the hosts to be able to talk to both old and new networks.
Routing wise this is not a problem the old and networks talk to each other ok.

The problem is that when i bring a guest up on the new VLAN it seems it can ping the gateway for about 10 pings then it looses say 100 packets then again it can ping for about 10 pings. I created the device in the guest using the -netif_add from the host and then bridged it with a interface on the host that that vlan membership. The other thing to note is that the host vlan does not have as for security reasons the host is to be on a different vlan.

Does anyone have any ideas how i can get this to be stable?
I am using the latest kernel build from here 53.

Mark
