Thanks for the quick response!

As you suspected it works fine in 2.6.18-ovz-028stab051.1-smp - but I had 
problems with building that release from source which is why I moved to the same 
kernel release as the base Ubuntu 7.04 was using as I had no particular kernel 
version preference.

I do have other modules I need to compile up - hence the issue with compiling 
which lead me to a newer kernel release.

How 'stable' is the 2.6.24 release in terms of usage and known issues?
