Hi folks,
I prefer using Debian over any other distribution... so I have installed OpenVZ using the Debian installation guide and things have gone well - except for when I have a Fedora virtual server.
I want to use a Fedora Core 4 virtual server however the precreated template does not include YUM, and there is no VZYUM command that comes with the Debian edition of OpenVZ. So I was left with trying the instructions on this page to add the command...

I also installed the repocache tar.bz2 file to speed things up but the vzpkg command just spits out...
/usr/share/vzpkg/cache-os: line 131: /usr/share/vzctl/scripts/vps-create: No such file or directory
Now personally I've tried different things for hours, and I keep having to 'alien -d' any rpm's I try. It wouldn't surprise me if I've done something in past has in fact made more problems.
So my question is this... what is the preferred and known best way of adding full VZYUM functionality to the Debian edition of OpenVZ. OR better yet! Does anyone have a precreated template of Fedora core 4 or 6 that has YUM built in to it?
One things for sure... the 'minimal' fedora-core-4 template isn't anything like the 'minimal' install you'd do off the Fedora Core 4 CD's - it doesn't even come with wget! The 'default' one does... but still no yum!
Please please let me know anything of value.
