In brief:
- 2.6.18-x RHEL5-based kernel without any flavor does have the support for SMP, smp flavor is dropped
- please try 'rpm -e lksctp-tools' once more (if you don't really need it). Probably some misprint gave the message about the absence of the package.
- Unfortunately there exists only commercial Virtuozzo solution for Windows...
