Any ever had a problem when you try and do vzctl enter ID says enter failed?

I had a customer who it happened twice and says he did nothing out of the ordinary and i got it to happen to me today.

Restarting the VE doesn't help either.

I'll put my config below to see if that matters much.

I believe that should be 128 meg minimum and 256 meg burst.

Only thing i did was trying to check out this one mailserver setup program

Could you provide `cat /proc/user_beancounters` output relative to this VE?
Did you check /var/log/messages (it probably contains something weird)?

well i can't enter it to give you a proc/user_beancounters unfortunately

And no i didn't think to check the var/log/messages unfortunately, before killing it. heh

But I'll do it again tonight and give it a shot.

Can you check if doing
vzctl exec NNN mount devpts /dev/pts -t devpts

before vzctl enter helps?

I had the same problem with 2.6.16-1.2080_FC5.026test007 as node and gentoo-20060317-i686-stage3 as VE;

your suggestion did the trick
