hi,

can anyone tell me how to allocate more ptys to a ve.

when running screen i get:

no more ptys

error

i assume that there is a limit per ve.

also, any warnings on allowing ve's to have large number of ptys? I suppose they could dos the other ve's that way?

can i raise the total ptys in the hardware node to solve?

thanks!

There is numpty resource in /proc/user_beancounters.
You need to check the output of this file as the last column 'failcnt' reflects how many times VPS was not given particular resource.

To increase number of PTYs available for VPS just type:
# vzctl set VPSID --numpty <how many?> --save
