Hello,

I read this wiki:

http://wiki.openvz.org/Shared_webhosting
and
http://wiki.openvz.org/Using_NAT_for_VE_with_private_IPs

But one thing I didn't understand,

http://wiki.openvz.org/Shared_webhosting
Proxy webserver
Because we have only one public IP-address, we need an trick to
access every minimal server based on the hostname in the HTTP
request. For SSH we used different ports, but that is not an
option for websites. Again we create an VEx with an internal
IP-address. On this server we install Lighttpd as well, because
the proxying is very simple. First we must forward port 80 to
this server:
....

In this section above;
should I install bind9 to this VE with the internal IP? Or bind9 in the hardware node?

I am confused..

(I have a root server.. I use Openvz.. My nameserver-1 is too a VE.. And want to have VE's with internal IPs..)

Thank you..
Kutschka..

Dear Kutschka,

Your VEs have access to external resources and you can assign for your VEs any nameserver. It may be external public server or your internal nameserver (that will not be acessible from outside -- but as far as I understand it is not required for You).

You must forward the ports only for incoming connection like ssh or web servers installed inside VEs with private IP addresses.

thank you,
