Hi, i cannot use other precreated templates on ia64 open vz. Just debian-4.0-ia64-minimal.tar.gz and default are working.

if i install for example centos-4-i386-default.tar.gz
--
[root@localhost cache]# vzctl create 6 --ostemplate centos-4-i386-default
Creating VE private area (centos-4-i386-default)
Performing postcreate actions
VE private area was created
--

and type

[root@localhost cache]# vzctl start 6
Starting VE ...
VE is mounted
Setting CPU units: 1000
Configure meminfo: 11264
Unable to start init, probably incorrect template
VE start failed
Stopping VE ...
VE was stopped
VE is unmounted

i got those messages. how to solve this problem?

i use Fedora Core 7
uname -r output is 2.6.18-8.1.15.el5.028stab049.1

Thank You!

Hi,

I'm afraid that you will have to use suitable for your architecture (ia64) templates.
You cannot use x86 based templates on your ia64 hardware node.
