I'm able to migrate a vps from node 1 (sabre) to node 2 (rapier), but when I try to go back from 2 to 1, I get this error:

vzmigrate --online sabre 201
OPT:--online
OPT:sabre
Starting online migration of VE 201 on sabre
Preparing remote node
Initializing remote quota
Syncing private
Live migrating VE
Syncing 2nd level quota
Error: Failed to undump VE
vzquota : (error) Quota is not running for id 201

vzquota is installed on both nodes ok.

This problem was caused by an incorrect kernel-patch.

I applied "kernel-patch-openvz" to the source and got this problem.

After recompiling with "linux-patch-openvz" vzmigrate works correctly. I'm posting this for posterity.

So one of those patches is wrong, but both show up in apt-cache.

I used the latest stable patch in the apt repository (which brings a vanilla 2.6.18 kernel from kernel.org into openvz world. As I said before, there are two patches:

kernel-patch-openvz = in the etch debian repositories, this causes migrate to fail.

linux-patch-openvz = in debian.systs.org, this works just fine and gave me openvz kernel 2.6.18 (though what revision it is, I'm unsure).

I have debian.systs.org in my sources.list so both show up, I picked the wrong one first and learned the hard way.
