Is there a plan to support PPC architecture in later releases of OpenVZ?

dearaujo,
there should be no much problems running openvz on ppc or any other architercure supported by linux kernel.
AFAIR it took us less than a day to make it working quite fine on x86-64 and ia64, since OpenVZ has quite little arch dependant code.

The problem with ppc is that we just simply have no hardware for it. If you have hardware we will be happy to help you with this task.

Which feature/code is arch dependent?

I was simply asking this question because the user guide doesn't list any PPC platforms under the "Hardware Compatiblity" heading.

PPC is not in HCL as we don't support it officialy (for money) and so on.

You can check the changes for x86_64 in patch-026test005 for example. For ppc it should be almost the same.
- a bit of memory accounting in places where user space stack is allocated and so on.

Are you able to dig into this? Then I can help you if needed.
