Hi all

I'm new to OpenVZ (and virtulization for that matter), and would like to know how to create templates from CD's / DVD's.

We pay for bandwidth, per MB, so to download something like Fedora Core 7 & all the other software needed on a server, every time we need to setup a VPS, will cost a lot in bandwidth. So, how do I create a OpenVZ template from say a Fedora Core 7 DVD / OpenSuse 10.3 DVD / FreeBSD DVD?

Your best bet for this might be to mirror the repositories locally, then you only need to download the updates a single time and can then point your VEs, HN, etc at your local repository.

Just a thought, rsync can be your friend!
