Hello,

I was wondering if anyone could help me with this issue. I have a VPS that is running CPanel and about 30 web sites and no matter what I do, they start using more and more non-TCP sockets. The numothersock held just keeps raising. I reboot the server, and it does not fix the problem, as soon as the server comes back up it has the same amount of sockets in use as it did before.

I run netstat -na to see all of the sockets in use and it only shows about 20 UDP and 15 UNIX, yet the held is showing close to 500+. I look at /proc/net/raw and /proc/net/udp and again I only see about 20 sockets in use.

I'm not sure what the issue could be but I don't have any other VPS's like this that just keep using sockets even after the reboot and since they don't show up in netstat, I was wondering if anyone here had any ideas.

thanks in advance.
