I create Linux LVM volume and promote this to VE.
Howto use LVM inside VE?

/proc/devices: fopen failed: No such file or directory

From what I understand, LVM will be used on the HN, not in the VE.

Please read the manual before asking questions:

Please have a look at the wiki before asking questions:

You might could fake it by having some sort of process on the hn that looks for the presence of a file within your VPS directory structure and then runs that file or takes some pre-defined action.

So far as how to give a VPS special access to a device, read the man page to vzctl. There is a section on capabilities as well as device access. You might can engineer what you need with a combination of those... BUT as mentioned in the man page:

"WARNING: setting some of those capabilities may have far reaching security implications, so do not do it unless you know what you are doing."

You cannot manage the VE root filesystem with LVM in the VE context.
