Hi all,

please excuse me if this is not the right forum to post into, but I was redirected here by my virtual dedicated server provider.

The problem is as follows. After installing gentoo-20060317-i686-stage3 template, I could not connect to my VDS via ssh. Checking in VDS manager (it is the only one tool available to me in this situation), I can't see the sshd process. I can't see the sshd listening via 'nmap' as well.

What could I do?.. ssh is the only way to control my server, since it is "pure virtual" for me...

Thanks in advance!

Ivan

Hi,

please turn to your provider with a petition to start sshd in your VDS.
