Hello everyone!

Quick little problem for you to sort out.. I installed OpenVZ kernel on x86_64 (non-smp) AMD64 using VMWARE and FC4 x64 edition.

I boot into the OpenVZ Kernel fine, apart from the usual pcmcia error, login to root etc all fine. I go to install vzctl and get the following failed dependencies.

libvzctl-fs.so()(64bit)
libvzctl.so.0.0.1()(64bit)
vzctl-lib = 3.0.0-2

Any ideas? Looked everywhere but nobody seems to get this error. Perhaps it's because i'm using Vmware? Btw, host OS is Win XP x64.

Cheers,

Rob Jones

You want to install vzctl and vzctl-lib in one transaction, i.e. like that:

rpm -ihv vzctl-3*.rpm vzctl-lib-3*.rpm

I've just tried that, still getting the failed dependencies. By the way this is a fresh install of FC4 x64.

Anything else guys?

Can you post here the exact command you give and the exact output of it? Also, ls -l vzctl* would be nice.

As I told you before, you need to install vzctl-lib rpm together with vzctl rpm. Looks like you forgot to download it. It is available from the same place as vzctl.

It's all working now, although had to install vzquota in with the line you gave me Kir.

Thanks for your help Smile
