eth0 = damaged and disabled
eth1 = New nic card

Since then VPS are acting weird.
Does openvz require eth0 as default NIC of eth1 or any other NIC is fine.

/etc/vz/vz.conf contains the VE_ROUTE_SRC_DEV parameter which is "eth0" by default.
This parameter is used ONLY to get the source IP from it if you access a VE from the HN. If you experience the problem with exactly such connections, try to uncomment the parameter and set it to eth1.

If the "weirdness" persist, please, describe the problem in more detail? What command exactly should work but doesn't and what output it generates?

Thank you.

If your problem is solved - please, report it!
It's even more important than reporting the problem itself...
