new to openvz so excuse my ignorance on this but when i do a
"vzyum 101 update"....on this virtual server it goes great. but
then i want to install firefox on the virtual server a then i
do a "vzyum 101 install firefox" it seems to go well but when
completed i can not ssh back into the virtual server. it says
connection refused. i am not sure where to look to fix this.
looked inside the .ssh directory but that did not help. have done this several times thinking maybe? but i get the same
"connection refused"

Can you please tell me which packages were installed?
Just paste (or attach) vzyum output here.

it would be good to post output of
your ssh attempt with -v key:
#ssh -v your_server

and

# vzctl exec VPSID ps axf
# vzctl exec VPSID ls /dev

The problem is caused by the fact udev is installed into your system, removing our dev package.

What required udev and how it can be avoided -- this is the next question, I will look at it next week.

For now, you can try to forcibly remove udev and install dev package (from /vz/template/OSNAME/OSVERSION/OSARCH/addons/) to fix the VPS.

Can you tell me which OS template have you used? I will file a bug about that, just not to forget.
