I am building a new virtual setup using OpenVZ with CentOS 5. Since yum is my friend, I have added the OpenVZ RPM repository in my configuration for fetching packages.

For some reason, yum complains that these packages are not signed (e.g. "Package x is not signed") :
* vztmpl-fedora-7.i386 1.1-1
* vztmpl-fedora-core-6.i386 1.2-1

The other templates seem to be fine.

While I can remove the signature check, is this normal?

Thanks!

Those are contributed templates, therefore not signed by OpenVZ.

We should probably separate those out to a separate repo, so you could switch key checking just for it.

putting this for anybody wanting that

just add --nogpgcheck

for example

yum -y --nogpgcheck install vztmp*

will install all available template metadata
