Maximum number of users : 200. I`m trying to run a hub on a VPS, but I can`t get passed 200 users. Plus I tried centos 4,5, slackaware 12, gentoo stg3.

Could you please describe in more details what's going on when you are trying to add a 201 user? What command do you use? What error it gives?
Do you have quota enabled on the HN or a VE? Which settings do you use?

If your problem is solved - please, report it!
It's even more important than reporting the problem itself...

I guess you have an answer here

lol,

Just out of interest whats is the spec of your vps, and who is it hosted by.

Running a DC hub on Openvz is much cheaper than 5 years ago when you needed a dedi to do the job.

Just saw that. I host my own VPSes, this was the first hub that I hosted. I always limit only space on my VPSes, at rest, it has access to 8 cores, 8 GB RAM ... how would I go to upgrading to 2.6.21 ?? I tried to downgrade to 2.6.16, but it had some dependencies that couldn`t go with a downgrade.

My kernel : 2.6.18-ovz028stab039.1-enterprise .

Hmm.. I have never really had to touch the kernel much using OpenVZ.

So have you managed to get the VPS running VerliHub ok, the only issue is over the 200 users?

What spec is the VPS, i.e. guarnteed RAM, limits etc. what connection is it on etc..

Cheers

It isn`t working, and I like i said, it doesn`t have any limits.
Verlihub is running but can`t get passed 200 users.
