hello, i have a dedicated server and i'm running openvz on it. My server can have up to 8 ips, is it possible to assign the virtual ethernet device in a ve with a real class a ip as opposed to a lan ip?

thanks

Hi, I am not sure where class A fits into your case. Show us specifically what you are trying to do and the encountered problem.

if you alias the IPs you want to use in your VE to the HN as eth0:0,1,2,etc, are you able to reach the internet using those sources? if so, just add them to the VE using vzctl and you will be on your way to glory.

Rick
