I noticed that when i copy large amounts of data (10 Gb) to vps from another host it looks slower than usual (to hn). Is it possible that vzquota slows down copy ? I mean how it updates data ? Does smth like "du -ms" after every write , or more smart ? Does it makes sense to somehow disable quota , then reinitialize . Is it possible to do with running vps ?

Hello.

1) Any measurements? Exact times for downloading the same file from the same place?
2) Can you check if there are any failcounters in /proc/user_beancounters?

If your problem is solved - please, report it!
It's even more important than reporting the problem itself...
