Hello,
Seems like vzpkgcache is leaving the temporary directories:
ls /vz/private
100001 100003 100005 100007 100009
100002 100004 100006 100008

Kernel version:
Linux awknet01.myvps.biz 2.6.18-8.1.4.el5.028stab035.1PAE #1 SMP Sat Jun 9 02:27:12 MSD 2007 i686 athlon i386 GNU/Linux

Well, seems that's not just leaving the dirs but the vps running
[root@awknet01 ~]# vzlist
Unable to open /etc/vz/conf/100001.conf: No such file or directory
Unable to open /etc/vz/conf/100002.conf: No such file or directory
VEID NPROC STATUS IP_ADDR HOSTNAME
100001 1 running -
100002 1 running -

How do you guys sugest to stop those vps?

vzctl stop xxx don't work since there are 1 process in /vz/lock

Hmm, can you give me ssh access to your hardware node so I can check that's happening?

OK, the problem was bad interoperability of newer kernels and older vzctl which is fixed in vzctl git but not yet released.

Here's the fix:
http://git.openvz.org/?p=vzctl;a=commitdiff;h=4766d1f711a73e 7929530a5a3f50d749e0f9de6a

If anybody else is having the same problem, there are a few options:
1. Wait for vzctl-3.0.17 to be released (I hope it will happen this week or so).
2. Use latest vzctl from git repo.
3. Rebuild vzctl-3.0.16 with the above patch applied (most conservative approach).
