I need to load sd_mod into my kernel in order to use my SATA RAID card. I can load this correctly when using the normal Linux kernel but not with the OpenVZ kernel.

[root@localhost /]# modprobe sd_mod
FATAL: Module sd_mod not found.

When I try to load the sd_mod from the normal kernel to the OpenVZ kernel I get...

insmod: error inserting '/lib/modules/2.6.9-55.ELsmp/kernel/drivers/scsi/sd_mod.ko': -1 Invalid module format

My distribution is CentOS4.5

Any ideas what I can do to get this working?
