Hello,

Okay, I have a 256MB VPS right now with DirectAdmin loaded on it. Currently the privvmpages is running at about 230MB but the oomguarpages is only at 66MB. Why is there such a big difference between the actually committed RAM and what RAM is allocated for use?
It's a common situation. Linux applications usually allocate a lot of memmory, but use _only_ 10-20% of it.

Does oomguarpages account for kernel memory and all memory used by the VPS?

If I am wanting to offer 256MB actual RAM, would I just limit oomguarpages at 65536 and not worry about what privvmpages goes to? Or does oomguarpages miss out on some used RAM?

Just read this: http://wiki.openvz.org/Oomguarpages#oomguarpages
