Checkpointing fails on *normal* ( not live CD) installation......

Any help?


The Host PC:
Debian Etch on VMware 5.5.4.
OpenVZ:
2.6.18-028stab033
VE101 template:
Debian 3.1 minimal.

--- Okajima, Jun. Tokyo, Japan.

-------------
# uname -r
2.6.18-028stab033
# vzctl start 101
Starting VE ...
VE is mounted
Setting CPU units: 1000
VE start in progress...
# vzctl chkpnt 101
Setting up checkpoint...
suspend...
dump...
Can not dump VE: Invalid argument
iptables-save exited with 9360
Checkpointing failed
# whereis iptables-save
iptables-save: /sbin/iptables-save /usr/share/man/man8/iptables-save.8.gz
[ Yes, I have iptable installed. ]
# /sbin/iptables-save
[ Nothing out. Because I have not set any value to iptable ]
# vzctl stop 101
Stopping VE ...
VE was stopped
VE is unmounted

Hello Jun,

Please use patch from
http://git.openvz.org/?p=linux-2.6.18-openvz;a=commit;h=650723f83a8685111fb3dee7073454861c446193
to fix this problem.

It's my fault that a serious error came into released kernel.
it is fixed in 028stab034 which is coming soon.
or you can still use 028stab031 kernel.
