Hi,

I just installed OpenVZ over FC6, fresh install, no updates, and now I have no X booting from OpenVZ, but ok booting from FC6.

OpenVZ, rpm build download:
Linux dis000-04 2.6.18-ovz028stab031.1-smp #1 SMP Thu Apr 26 20:55:28 MSD 2007 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux

FC6:
Linux dis000-04 2.6.18-1.2798.fc6 #1 SMP Mon Oct 16 14:37:32 EDT 2006 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux

chipset intel 82815

how can I get the drivers from FC6 to work with OpenVZ?

thanks

Hello,

Probably the reason is that not all required drivers are compiled in kernel. You can do the following things:
1) recompile OpenVZ kernel with needed options enabled
2) use precompiled OpenVZ kernel based on rhel5. This kernel is compiled with many various drivers, so I'm pretty sure X will work.

HTH,
Vasily.
