Hello,

I have some trouble with the vzdump utility, since is the first i'm using it i can't make it to do a snapshot of a ve Sad

I've read the documentation available but i think it's not very complete...

Here' s the error output of vzdump...

[root@corporate /]# vzdump --dumpdir /root/vz_backup --compress --xdelta --snapshot 200
File descriptor 3 left open
File descriptor 5 left open
File descriptor 7 left open
starting backup for VPS 200 (/vz/private/200) Fri Apr 13 14:56:39 2007
creating backup for VPS 200 failed (0.00 minutes): unable to dump into snapshot (use option --dumpdir) at /usr/bin/vzdump line 450.

I have a default partitioning scheme, a 100mb /boot partition and the rest of the space is enclosed in a single lvm group.

What i understood is that i need two volumegroups to make a snapshot backup ?
