G'day,
i think it's known issue:
gluk@alien /usr/local/src/git/linux-2.6.20-openvz $ git pull
fatal: unable to connect a socket (Connection refused)
Fetch failure: git://git.openvz.org/linux-2.6.20-openvz
fatal: unable to connect a socket (Connection refused)
Failed to find remote refs
No changes.
gluk@alien /usr/local/src/git/linux-2.6.20-openvz $ nc 69.64.46.162 9418
(UNKNOWN) [69.64.46.162] 9418 (git) : Connection refused

so couldn't u explain a bit when git repo will become available?

tested, its available only over http !

# git pull
Fetching refs/heads/master from http://git.openvz.org/pub/linux-2.6.20-openvz using http
Already up-to-date.
