I have a VE running CentOS. I'm in the process of trying to compile
php and when I do a
$ make
I get lots of output and eventually get:
virtual memory exhausted: Cannot allocate memory

I tried stopping the VE and starting it again, and noticed the "make"
made it farther along before I got that error. What can I do to give
the VE more memory? This is a non-production system, so I'm going to
try killing more VE's and seeing if that helps, but I thought I'd also
ask for other hints.
