Hello,

I know that the OpenVZ supports the OpenVPN vpn network. But how about the other 2 famous VPN: PPTP and IPSec? Can I run them inside a VE now?

I search from the forum and found that seems their support were not so good in 2005-2006, how about now with the near become stable 2.6.18 / RHEL5 kernel?

Thanks,
Vincent

Hello,

I see, that in RHEL5-based kernel CONFIG_PPP_MPPE is on (compiled as a module), so at least on HN you can use PPTP. As concerns VE: I've never tried to setup such configuration, so it is hard to say for me.

See bugzilla.openvz.org/show_bug.cgi?id=268 and wiki.openvz.org/PPP_in_container; works for me with 2.6.32-ovz-el-alt10 (based on 042test006.1 it seems).

PS: tried to post links under 10 messages, oops :]
