Hi

I just tried to install OpenVZ on a Dell server (64bit) and got the following output

Installing: ovzkernel-smp ######################### [1/2]

I rebooted to see if it would work, but it doesnt.

I saw someone else post this last year but it wasnt clear what the solution was - or if there is one.

Would installing 32bit Centos help or do I need to compile my kernel (shudder) as I have never done that before

Many thanks

How exactly doesn't it work? What are the messages you see on the screen?

Also, please, boot in your working kernel (BTW, what kernel is it?) and give there `lspci` and `lspci -n` commands. Then post their output here.

Thank you,
Vasily.

Sorry for not being clear - I mean that when I reboot the machine it locks up during boot - I guess when it tries to access the raidarray

I have solved the problem by installing 32 bit Centos - this also solves some issue I was having with VMWare. It all runs perfectly now

Thanks for your speedy reply
